We are getting more familiar with our new home town of Bray in County Wicklow. It was a lovely day today so I decided to take the children to the promenade.
It’s all fun
We live on the southside of the Bray town area. The cycle to the promenade is just over 10 minutes from our house so it is not too taxing a ride. Bray is a relatively old Irish town & comes with the usual mix of good & bad Irish roads & occassional cycle lanes! In fairness to Wicklow County Council, they have a decent wide cycle path running along most of the seaside promenade so we had some safe segregated cycling.
The children love the promenade area. There is a decent playground which they burnt a lot of energy playing in today! However they also enjoy the stony beach which provides plenty of fun & is nice to walk along too. We were able to bring the cargo bike right up to the beach & walk down to the sea edge.
